Life in Naddi...

Dear family and friends,

I have made it safely to Dharamshala .Wow,  I have had a pleasant yet a challenging journey. Yes it was a tough time in the long 42 hour train ride and to share one seat with 3 people. But I thank God that I got to travel with my brothers. One of the highlights during our train ride was that we got to share the love of Jesus with a Buddhist guy. He was heading back home after he had visited his daughter who lives in south India.  He was very much interested  in the gospel and had an open heart to the things we were sharing with him. We believe that we have planted a seed in him and it is God who is going to make it grow. (A the scripture says in1Corinthians 3:6-7,  “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow .So neither  the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow.”  I had to split up with my brothers at the Delhi station, it was not so easy to travel in such a huge city alone but I had a fun time exploring this city.

Traveling with my two brothers.

Our new Tibetan friend who heard the "good news"!

I had a warm welcome back to my second family up here in Dharamshala. It was really cool to hear different stories from them what God has been working in their lives too. God has been speaking a lot to me from the book of James. In James 1: 2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be  mature and complete, not lacking anything.” It has been a new start for me and I know that I will have to face a lot of things working up here. Sometimes it may be really good but in other times, I know that I will have to hold on strong to my faith and my love for Jesus.

Sunset at the village

For these past few days I have had a blessed time meeting up with my team members and processing  a lot of things for the up coming month. I have also got time to attend the local church that is in function and in the process of helping out the villagers in their need of different kind. I have also been able to go to other village across from the one that we are living in and meet up with them and pray for them with my group. It has also been cool to have fellowship with one of the first believer and his family by spending time with them, listening to their problems and also praying and encouraging them especially when they have lost one of their relatives. God is really moving in this family’s life and he is bringing them out of their problems so that they will grow more.

Here are my Prayer points :

1. Please pray that God will give me strength to stand strong in anything that I come across.
2. Please pray for the up coming month and the things planned out that it will go as God’s will.
3. Please pray for the family that  has accepted Christ, that they may  stand strong and not live in fear. That they will feel loved and they will attend the service on Sundays .
4. Please also pray for this family as they have lost one of their relatives, that they would not turn away from God, but in stead they will take this chance to seek his love more.
5.Please pray that God would keep me in good health, and that the weather would be good also as the harvest time is very  near and its been raining which will cause destruction to the fields.

The harvest is near!
